Diane Walker CNM graduated as a nurse from the University of Washington in 1986 and worked at the University of Washington hospital before pursuing her Masters in Intercultural Studies. This led to 15 years of international work in the Yemen, Israel and Jordan before returning to complete her Masters of Nursing from Oregon Health and Sciences University in Midwifery in 2006. In addition to clinical practice Diane has taught midwifery and women’s health at Aksum University in Ethiopia and the University of Guam. She returned to the beautiful Pacific Northwest and joined Seattle OB/GYN Group in 2014. As a midwife and mother of five children, Diane values a holistic and personal approach to childbearing and women’s health. She enjoys spending her free time with family and friends hiking, reading, cooking international food, kayaking and scuba diving.
In 2016 Diane was awarded a certificate of honor from the Department of Health Sciences at Aksum University, Ethiopia for ongoing inspiration and contribution to faculty and curriculum development in Midwifery and Women's Health.
