SERVICES: VBAC

The physicians of Seattle OB/Gyn Group feel strongly about offering this safe and healthy option to our patients. Vaginal Birth after Cesarean, also known as VBAC, has many benefits to both the mother and the baby. Some of these benefits include less blood loss, less pain after delivery, fewer days in the hospital and faster recovery at home, less chance of infection, as well as an opportunity for the mother and her birthing partner to have a more active role in the birth of their child.

All of the physicians at Seattle OB/Gyn Group are active advocates for VBAC and would be happy to schedule a consultation with you and your partner to discuss your desire for a VBAC and how we can partner with you to assure that you have a healthy and safe birth that you deserve.

Patient Comments

"Thank you for supporting and encouraging me to go for a VBAC. I had an amazing birth experience, a day I will forever remember with joy! Your positive energy and radient smile are contagious. I felt safe and confident in your care and I feel lucky to have found this practice."

"We wanted to tell you how much we appreciated all that you did to help bring our second baby into this world safely. It was not an easy journey, but we couldn't have asked for a better caretaker/doctor/friend to guide us through. We still can hardly believe our luck in having achieved an UNMEDICATED VBAC birth for our son, and please know that you have given us true happiness in helping us accomplish this important event."

"The supportive staff at Seattle OB/Gyn Group was the magic touch we needed to help us in our complicated pregnancy. Words just don't seem to be good enough to express how thankful we are to have had you all on our team! We had a successful VBAC just 19 months after the birth of our first daughter, by an emergency Cesarean. To have had a vaginal birth, as I've dreamed, and to be able to take care of my new baby AND my 19 month old toddler, these are the reasons I came to this group, and I am so thankful that I did."
